Mindy Tessa McKoin, who worked multiple seasons on 'Shrinking,' filed her complaint in L.A. Superior Court after first submitting it to the California Civil Rights Department. According to a report by Deadline, McKoin claims the real reason for her abrupt termination on July 10, 2026, was not due to "different needs of production," as stated by Executive Producer Kip Kroeger, but rather a direct result of her protected activities.

At the heart of McKoin's allegations is an incident at a 'Shrinking' Season 2 wrap party on June 22, 2024. She asserts that executive producer Randall Winston, without her consent, subjected her to "unwelcome, severe harassment... including by grabbing and groping her breast... in the presence of a coworker." McKoin maintains that this conduct was severe enough to create a hostile and offensive work environment.

Beyond the alleged sexual harassment, McKoin's lawsuit also points to a pattern of retaliation following her complaints about workplace issues. She claims that Warner Bros. Television failed to take any corrective action regarding the sexual harassment. Furthermore, McKoin insists she made "bona fide complaints" both orally and in writing, concerning unpaid wages and unlawfully altered time records on multiple dates in May, June, and July of 2026, just prior to her dismissal.

Her filing states that her termination on July 10, 2026, occurred "within 90 days of each of these instances of protected activities." McKoin's legal team emphasizes that "no performance deficiency, misconduct, or business rationale was identified then or anytime thereafter" for her firing, suggesting her performance was not an issue.

As a direct consequence of Warner Bros. Television's alleged violations, McKoin is seeking unspecified damages, including lost wages, work benefits, and compensation for emotional distress, humiliation, mental anguish, and anxiety. When contacted by Deadline, Warner Bros. Television declined to comment on the complaint and its allegations, and representatives for Randall Winston did not respond to inquiries.
