In a competitive bidding scenario, Apple TV+ emerged victorious, securing the rights to transform May Cobb's latest literary offering, All the Little Houses, into a compelling drama series. The adaptation will see Cobb co-creating the show alongside Naomi Sheldon, who is also set to pen the script. Fifth Season is attached as the studio, with Kristen Campo's Campout Productions and Linden Entertainment serving as executive producers, as reported by Deadline.

The series is set to unfold in the affluent Longview, Texas, a setting where Charleigh Anderson has meticulously climbed her way to the top of the social hierarchy, establishing herself as the undisputed queen bee. However, her carefully constructed world is thrown into disarray with the arrival of a seemingly perfect, 'prairie-kissed' family – complete with a traditional wife, a woodworking husband, and their wholesome daughter. The impending clash between these two formidable women, vying for influence and control over the town's very essence, promises to unearth the hidden secrets, simmering resentments, and deep-seated desires lurking beneath Longview's polished exterior.

May Cobb brings a proven track record to the project. The Texan screenwriter and bestselling author is widely recognized for her previous novel, The Hunting Wives, which was successfully adapted into a Southern gothic series for Netflix. That adaptation proved to be a global hit, ranking as the third most popular English-language series worldwide upon its premiere last summer, hitting the Top 10 in 40 countries, and reaching No. 1 in 10, including the U.S. The Hunting Wives, starring Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman, is already gearing up for its second season later this year.

Naomi Sheldon, the co-creator and writer for the All the Little Houses adaptation, also boasts an impressive resume. She is celebrated for co-creating The Girlfriend, a limited series for Amazon and Imaginarium, based on Michelle Frances' thriller novel. The show, which starred Robin Wright and Olivia Cooke and was directed by Wright, earned nominations for Best Limited Series at both the Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards. Sheldon's upcoming projects include an original erotic thriller for Netflix and her recent work in the writers' room for Hulu/A24's crime drama series The Spot, featuring Claire Danes and Ewan McGregor. Her diverse experience in crafting gripping narratives makes her an ideal partner for Cobb in bringing this new world to the screen.
