The first volume of the The Knockemout saga, Things We Never Got Over follows the romantic adventures of Naomi Witt, as initially reported by Deadline. The book tells the story of Naomi Witt, who, after leaving her fiancé at the altar, arrives in Knockemout, a small town in Virginia, to help her twin sister Tina, who is seemingly in trouble.

However, Tina quickly proves she hasn't changed her ways. Soon after Naomi's arrival, Tina disappears with her car, phone, and handbag, abandoning her 11-year-old daughter in the process. With her life shattered, Naomi suddenly finds herself responsible for a niece she barely knows, in a town where she has no support system.

Fortunately, she can count on Knox Morgan, the town's benefactor and resident bad boy, as well as his brother Nash Morgan, the town sheriff.

Molly Griggs, Matthew Noszka, and Tommy Martinez Join the Cast

For this new adaptation, Prime Video has already chosen the actors who will portray the main characters. Molly Griggs (The Residence) will lend her talents to the roles of both Naomi Witt and her twin sister Tina. Matthew Noszka (All's Fair) is set to interpret Knox Morgan, while Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble) will step into the shoes of Nash Morgan.

Adding to the excitement, Things We Never Got Over is already in production. Prime Video has even released an initial video introducing the three actors in their respective roles.

Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder (Midnight, Texas) penned the pilot and will serve as showrunners for the series. Lucy Score, the original author of the novel, will join the production as an executive producer.

"I'm thrilled that Gina, Eric, and Nicole, along with their incredibly talented writing team, are bringing Things We Never Got Over to life. Readers can rest assured: the characters we are all so deeply attached to in the books are in the best possible hands," Lucy Score stated.

Fans will need to exercise patience, however, as no release date has yet been announced for this highly anticipated adaptation on Prime Video.
