Fantasy Flight Games has officially unveiled the Ashes of the Empire set for their popular trading card game, Star Wars: Unlimited. For those new to Unlimited, it’s the officially licensed TCG for the Star Wars series, designed for fast-paced, strategic gameplay.

In detailing what fans can anticipate from this new expansion, the publisher shared insightful information:

"Welcome to Ashes of the Empire, the eighth set of Star Wars™: Unlimited! As its title suggests, this set turns its focus to a specific era within the Star Wars galaxy: the Battle of Endor and the years that followed it, featuring characters, ships, and events that played a starring role during the fall of the Galactic Empire and the period of uncertainty left in its wake. "In addition to over 260 new cards, Ashes of the Empire introduces several new features into the game. Have your units work together to achieve victory with the new Support keyword; call on the aid of resilient Mandalorian token units; and strike hard and fast with fleeting Advantage tokens!"

Luke Skywalker takes center stage, headlining one of the new ready-to-play 50-card spotlight decks. Facing him from the Dark Side is none other than the nefarious Emperor Palpatine. The set also introduces Carbonite Edition booster packs, which are akin to Collector Boosters found in Magic: The Gathering, offering variant cards with unique aesthetic treatments that are expected to be highly sought after by collectors.
