"It’s been rumored that he’s on the shortlist. We’re going to find out pretty soon, aren’t we? Because they have picked him. They have made their choice, but they have not announced it yet. So my fingers are crossed for Jack," Oldman stated, hinting that the decision on who will succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond has already been made behind closed doors.

While Oldman's comments have ignited a fresh wave of speculation, it remains unclear whether his statement explicitly means Jack Lowden has been cast, or if he is referring more broadly to Amazon MGM Studios having selected a new actor for the role. Amazon MGM Studios has, understandably, been approached for comment regarding the actor's intriguing remarks.

Lowden has long been a name whispered among the favorites for the coveted spy role. He is known for his work in films like Dunkirk and Mary Queen of Scots, in addition to his compelling performance alongside Oldman in Slow Horses.
