The dream of Catherine et Liliane fans is becoming a reality. Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches are bringing their iconic office colleagues back, not to the small screen, but to cinemas in 2027. Lutz is directing Un voyage, marking his third feature film as a director, entirely dedicated to the hilarious duo that originated on CANAL+ in 2012.
While the plot remains under wraps, filming for Un voyage took place over much of the summer in the south of France, particularly in the picturesque Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
Laurent Lafitte Reprises His Role
A portion of the highly anticipated cast has now been unveiled. Confirming fan speculation, Laurent Lafitte is set to appear in the film. Lafitte previously delighted audiences in the original CANAL+ short programs as Marina, Catherine's gravelly-voiced best friend who famously couldn't stand Liliane.
Joining the ensemble are Vassili Schneider (known for Le Comte de Monte-Cristo), Gioia Farisano (La Petite dernière, B.R.I. series), and Tom Dingler, who previously co-wrote and directed the original short programs. Their involvement promises to bring a mix of familiar talent and fresh faces to the big screen adaptation.
Un voyage is produced by Grands Ducs Films, the production company established by Alex Lutz in July 2025. A prolific talent, Lutz has already directed five fiction films, including Guy, which earned him a César Award for Best Actor.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, the film is slated to hit theaters in 2027.
