This six-part thriller is a free adaptation of Swedish author Mons Kallentoft's popular Malin Fors detective novels, specifically drawing inspiration from the 2007 novel Le Serpent à plumes (The Feathered Serpent).
The series is set to feature a formidable lineup of French talent. Cécile de France will lead the cast as the complex detective Malin Fors. She will be joined by Grégory Gadebois, recently seen in Éric Besnard's Jean Valjean, Damien Bonnard, known for his roles in Les Misérables and La Voie du serpent, and Simon Abkarian, who portrayed Charles de Gaulle in the recent diptych La Bataille de Gaulle. The cast is further rounded out by Moussa Mansaly and Lubna Azabal, both acclaimed actors with extensive filmographies.
Before embarking on La Part Du Mal, Gens also completed work on his science-fiction feature, Homewrecker. With La Part Du Mal already in the can, anticipation is building for its release. The series is currently eyeing a potential premiere in the first quarter of 2027, promising another gripping and high-quality French production for Netflix subscribers worldwide.
