Bee Entertainment arrives at Busan with an eye on expanding the global reach of Vietnamese content, building on a robust year for local films. In 2025, Vietnamese films collectively grossed over VND3 trillion ($114 million) domestically, outperforming international releases for the first time—a clear signal of the market's burgeoning strength and a springboard for Bee's international ambitions.

Leading Bee's film slate is 'Arithmadtic,' a psychological horror set within an elite international school. The film, also known by its Vietnamese title 'Cong Tru Nhan Chia,' embraces the popular Dark Academia aesthetic. Its plot centers on a transfer student who develops an enigmatic bond with a teacher, all while a series of unexplained, supernatural incidents begin to unravel the school's polished facade. Directed by Irving Ly—whose short film 'Close the Eye to See' garnered acclaim at festivals like BFI Flare and the Korea Queer Film Festival, and won a Silver Kite at Vietnam’s 2025 Golden Kite Awards—'Arithmadtic' features a strong ensemble cast including Anh Thu, Lam Thanh My, Phuong Tra My, Chu Anh Tuan, Cong Ninh, Hoang Minh Hung, and Dac Thang. The film is slated for a January 2027 release.

Three additional features are set to hit screens throughout 2027. First up in the second quarter is 'The Step-Mother,' a drama directed by Tran Nhan Kien, an alumnus of the Asian Film School and Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival’s B.I.G NAFF Fantastic Film School. The story explores the evolving relationship between a boy who has lost his father and his new stepmother, navigating the complex line between strictness and care.

Following in the third quarter is 'How to Find a Fortune in 60 Days,' an action-comedy-family drama from director Pom Nguyen. Nguyen is well-known for helming 'The Corpse' franchise, whose first two installments achieved significant box office success, grossing over VND280 billion ($10.7 million) combined. Concluding the 2027 film slate in the fourth quarter is 'Dealing With a Ghost,' a horror romantic comedy directed by Le Ha Nguyen.

Beyond features, Bee Entertainment is also showcasing three long-form television dramas at various stages of production. 'The Unrecognized Heir,' an 80-episode family drama directed by Trac Huynh Nhat Tan, has already made waves since its December 2025 debut on VTV9, accumulating over 1 billion views across social media platforms. Another family drama, 'A Deal With God,' comprising 65 episodes and blending comedy and fantasy, is directed by Dang Minh Quoc. Trac Huynh Nhat Tan also directs 'Destined to Find You,' an 80-episode romance currently in post-production.

Bee Entertainment, a subsidiary of Bee Comm (founded in 2009 and known for producing the Vietnamese edition of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'), plays a comprehensive role in the Vietnamese film industry, investing in, producing, releasing, and selling both local and international titles. The company's presence at the ACFM underscores its strategic push to capitalize on Vietnam's booming film sector and forge crucial international partnerships as the Busan International Film Festival concludes on October 15.
