However, in a recent interview with Télé Loisirs while promoting her new series 'Soeurs,' Lola Dewaere offered an explanation for the unexpected axing. According to Dewaere, the impetus came directly from TF1 itself, which is re-evaluating its programming strategy.

"It was their will, as TF1 no longer wanted police comedies," Dewaere revealed. She elaborated that the network is looking to pivot towards more serious police dramas. "They no longer wanted it to be a comedy. They want to do police shows, but less comedic." Despite the strategic shift, Dewaere emphasized the show's success, stating, "But it worked very, very, very, very, very, very well."

When asked if she was disappointed by the cancellation, Dewaere remained composed, simply responding, "No, not at all. Not at all. And I'll stop there." Her calm demeanor is understandable, as the actress has a packed schedule with several high-profile projects in the pipeline.

Dewaere is set to return in the upcoming season of the hit series 'Astrid et Raphaëlle,' which will air on France 2 this autumn. Additionally, she will star in 'Soeurs,' premiering on France 2 on September 30th, where she portrays twin sisters with vastly different lives. She has also joined the cast for the second season of 'Cat’s Eyes,' expected to air on TF1 in the coming months. Furthermore, TF1 announced last July that Dewaere will take on the role of Caroline Darian in a new fiction adapted from the real-life Mazan case, depicting the daughter of Gisèle Pélicot.
