The cast of Apple TV+'s highly anticipated action thriller, Disavowed, continues to grow with Sylvia Hoeks being the latest talent to sign on. Hoeks, whose recent credits include Prime Video’s Ride or Die and Apple TV’s See, will join the series as a regular, though details regarding her specific character remain tightly under wraps.

Disavowed is the brainchild of Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the writing duo behind hits like Iron Man and Uncharted. The series centers on Brad Griffin, a legendary CIA Case Officer portrayed by James Marsden, who finds himself abruptly terminated mid-mission. Disgraced and exiled from the intelligence world, Griffin embarks on a personal quest to hunt down an elusive assassin responsible for his colleague’s death, driven by a $15 million federal bounty.

Hoeks will share the screen with previously announced cast member Norman Reedus. The series is an Apple Studios production, with Marcum and Holloway also serving as executive producers alongside Tom Spezialy, Michelle MacLaren, Rebecca Hobbs, and James Marsden. Blue Marble Pictures, known for Pachinko, is producing, with Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity also executive producing. Michelle MacLaren, lauded for her work on The Morning Show and Breaking Bad, is slated to direct the first two episodes and will executive produce under her overall deal with Apple TV.

Beyond her iconic role as Luv in Blade Runner 2049, Hoeks has a busy slate. She is set to star as Anna Nicole Smith in Francesca Gregorini’s Hurricanna, a film exploring the final chaotic 48 hours of the supermodel’s life, scheduled for a theatrical release on November 13. Currently, she can be seen in Prime Video’s Ride or Die and recently concluded her run as Queen Kane in Apple TV’s See.
