The end of Silo Season 3 promised significant upheaval for Season 4, and creator Graham Yost has offered some clues about what's next.

Apple has established science fiction as one of its hallmarks, boasting an impressive array of original creations such as Severance, For All Mankind, Pluribus, and See, alongside ambitious adaptations like Foundation, Dr. Brain, and Dark Matter. Indeed, 2027 is set to kick off with the highly anticipated adaptation of William Gibson's seminal cyberpunk novel, Neuromancer, in a series starring Callum Turner.

However, 2027 will also mark the end of one of its major catalog series: Silo. Adapted from Hugh Howey's eponymous saga and showrun by Graham Yost, the series starring Rebecca Ferguson is a dystopian gem full of mysteries and twists. Its third season concluded with major discoveries, and Apple TV+ was quick to tease the arrival of Season 4 for next July. This ultimate season promises much, and the showrunner has unveiled some clues. Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Understandably, Graham Yost was questioned about the end of Season 3 and its numerous revelations concerning the universe, its origins, and the identity of the leaders of Silo 1, which undermined the inhabitants of Silo 18 (Juliette's, played by Rebecca Ferguson). But beyond that, he was also asked about the stakes of Season 4. Deadline notably asked him to summarize the situation at the end of Season 3 and, consequently, what is likely to happen during the final season:

"I would say it's a fragile, even hesitant, alliance, and not everything is perfect. There are things to iron out, but overall, they are more united than ever. Thanks to Bernard, thanks to Juliette, thanks to Camille, but beware, there is also something else since Juliette says: 'We must destroy Silo 1'. It's war. Season 4 is war. It's the decisive moment. Many questions have been answered. Not all. Some remain unanswered until the last ten minutes of the series, but the main question is: 'How will it all end?' And it's not simple. There are fractures. There are big problems. There are emotional stakes. People you love won't see the end. I can assure you."

This statement is not necessarily reassuring for the fate of certain characters, but it was to be expected. Since its very first episode, where two of its protagonists (played by renowned actors) died, the Apple TV+ series has never hesitated to end the arcs of many characters. On the contrary, the deaths of several of them have allowed the narrative to advance and motivated the actions of the survivors.

This fourth season should therefore recount a small carnage in its own way, with its distant war destined to see members of Silo 1 and 18 collide. The final shot of the Season 4 trailer is quite clear on this subject, with Daniel/Troy (Ashley Zukerman) and Juliette meeting in the depths of the silos. Finally, the fate of Helen (Jessica Henwick) will also be clarified, probably through her first days in Silo 18, the very silo where Juliette was born years later.
