Ravagli, a name synonymous with some of Italy's most compelling serialized storytelling, is embarking on a new chapter in her career. Her inaugural film project blends elements of a coming-of-age tale with action tropes, all set against the sun-drenched backdrop of Sicily. Ravagli also co-penned the screenplay for 'The Place of Eternal Summer' alongside her frequent collaborator Leonardo Fasoli, with whom she previously co-wrote episodes of both 'Gomorrah' and 'ZeroZeroZero.'

The film centers on the evolving friendship between two distinct young boys, Leo and Turi, charting their relationship across three pivotal summers, each spaced five years apart. This narrative structure aims to explore how their bond transforms as they navigate the complexities of growing up, from childhood to the cusp of adulthood.

In a director's statement, Ravagli shared her motivation for the project, emphasizing her long-standing commitment as a screenwriter to amplifying often-overlooked voices within Italy. She noted that her experiences as a parent further inspired her to explore the universal challenge of self-discovery. "This is what made me feel the need to tell this tragic, poignant, but also funny and life-filled adventure," Ravagli stated, highlighting the film's emotional depth and relatability.

The production of 'The Place of Eternal Summer' involves a collaboration between Moontrip – a banner established by Rome-based Cattleya (an ITV Studios company) with Fasoli and Ravagli – and Tramp Limited. Additional support comes from Beside Productions, Vision Distribution, and Sky. The film is set to feature a lineup of promising emerging Italian talent.

Upon its completion, 'The Place of Eternal Summer' will receive a theatrical release in Italy courtesy of Vision Distribution. International sales for the film will be managed by Vision Distribution International Sales, bringing Ravagli's directorial vision to a global audience.
