Despite its prestigious cast, which includes Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, and Jessica Alba, _Maserati: The Brothers_ stands out as a rather curious cinematic endeavor. A trailer for the film has recently been released, stirring discussion among film enthusiasts.

In 2023, Michael Mann delivered a biopic of car manufacturer Enzo Ferrari, starring Adam Driver. Now, three years later, it's the Maserati brothers' turn to get their own film. This time, the director is less renowned. Robert Moresco is primarily known for producing and co-writing 2004's acclaimed _Crash_. As a director, he has helmed several anonymous B-movies, TV films, and series episodes, but notably also _Lamborghini, The Man Behind the Legend_, another motorized biopic featuring Frank Grillo, which garnered a rather poor reputation.

Behind this veritable trilogy of Italian manufacturers is producer Andrea Iervolino, who has re-enlisted Moresco for _Maserati: The Brothers_. The recently released trailer showcases an array of stars.

Maserati, The Film

Indeed, Maserati: The Brothers features Andy García, Jessica Alba, Al Pacino, and Anthony Hopkins in this narrative dedicated to the Maserati brothers, who founded the famous luxury car brand in the 1920s. However, viewers should not expect to see them in leading roles, especially the latter two, who will likely only have a few scenes, for which they were undoubtedly paid a very substantial sum.

It appears that the reported failure of _Lamborghini, The Man Behind the Legend_ has not dampened Iervolino's ambitions. A February 2026 article in The Guardian revealed that the film cost over 90 million pounds, equivalent to more than 120 million dollars. This budget, comparable to a small blockbuster, was reportedly used to construct dozens of replicas of period-appropriate cars. One can only wonder how an independent feature of this scale aims to turn a profit. Notably, the current trailer, released about ten days ago, has not been picked up by any major publications, largely passing unnoticed.

Beyond the marquee names, the roles of the Maserati brothers are filled by Michele Morrone (365 Days, The Housemaid), Lorenzo de Moor (You, Me and Tuscany, A Simple Favor 2), Salvatore Esposito (Gomorrah, Criminal Squad: Panthera), and, ironically, Leo Ferrari (Those About to Die). _Maserati: The Brothers_ does not yet have a release date, neither in the United States nor in France.
