Veteran action star Liam Neeson is set to return to the big screen on October 30 with The Mongoose, a pulse-pounding new film that casts him as Ryan "Fang" Flanagan, a war hero caught in a desperate race against time. The story sees Flanagan framed for the murder of his ex-wife's abusive boyfriend, forcing him to embark on a cross-country high-speed chase in a classic 1965 Shelby Cobra. The film's title cleverly plays on the natural rivalry between a mongoose and a cobra, hinting at the relentless pursuit Flanagan faces.

Collider's exclusive preview, released in partnership with Samuel Goldwyn Films, offers a glimpse into Flanagan's perilous journey. The sneak peek highlights a tense moment at an isolated gas station where Flanagan attempts to refuel his powerful muscle car. The attendant, initially oblivious, soon becomes aware of Flanagan's predicament upon noticing a wound on his ankle and the approaching sirens of multiple police vehicles. This scene sets the stage for a thrilling sequence as Flanagan scrambles to fill his tank before his pursuers close in.

Neeson leads a strong ensemble cast, which includes Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei, Ving Rhames, Michael Chiklis, and Maurice Marvel Meredith. Behind the camera, Mark Vanselow makes his feature directorial debut. Vanselow is a familiar face to Neeson, having served as his long-time stunt double, bringing a unique perspective and understanding of action sequences to the film.

The Mongoose promises to deliver the kind of intense, character-driven action that Neeson's fans have come to expect. The film is slated for an exclusive theatrical release on October 30, inviting audiences to discover whether Flanagan can evade capture and clear his name. Neeson remains prolific, with recent appearances in the horror-comedy Cold Storage and the actioner The Fix, and is also scheduled to star in the upcoming crime drama 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank.
