Laurent Lafitte is set to don the robes of a disillusioned lawyer. Premiering in Official Selection at the Venice Film Festival this Friday, September 11, 2026, Tristan Séguéla's Un Bon Avocat (A Good Lawyer) has unveiled its first poster and simultaneously announced its exclusive release date on Netflix.
Un Bon Avocat Arrives on Netflix This November
After two successful collaborations with the comedy 16 ans ou presque and the series Tapie, Tristan Séguéla and Laurent Lafitte are reunited once more for this high-tension feature film. The Comédie-Française actor will portray Léonard Landry, a brilliant criminal lawyer plagued by a cocaine addiction.
During a court hearing, Léonard Landry suffers an overdose. After a rehabilitation stint, the lawyer has exactly one week to avoid being permanently disbarred and to prepare for his own trial. By his side is his intern, Noé, played by Anthony Bajon (Gourou, L'amour ouf).
This is the premise of this legal thriller, which promises to be as tumultuous as it is unpredictable! To watch Un Bon Avocat, viewers will need to arm themselves with a bit more patience, as it will be released (exclusively) on Netflix on November 8, 2026. A High-Caliber Cast
As you might have guessed, Un Bon Avocat brings together a prestigious cast. In addition to acting opposite rising young star Anthony Bajon, Laurent Lafitte will star alongside two renowned French actresses: Mélanie Laurent and Carole Bouquet. For now, their roles on screen remain unknown. Will they be judging the lawyer, or will they be on his side?
For Laurent Lafitte, Mélanie Laurent, and Carole Bouquet, this marks a reunion. Laurent Lafitte and Mélanie Laurent previously starred together in François Favrat's 2015 drama Boomerang.
Mélanie Laurent and Carole Bouquet, for their part, have shared the screen multiple times, notably in Un pont entre deux rives (1998), Embrassez qui vous voudrez (2002), and Tempête (2022). However, Tristan Séguéla's legal thriller marks the first collaboration between Laurent Lafitte and Carole Bouquet.
