Following the blockbuster success of Paul Feig's "La Femme de ménage" (The Housemaid), which captivated audiences and grossed over $400 million worldwide, a sequel was swiftly greenlit. Now, "Les Secrets de la femme de ménage" (The Housemaid's Secrets) is actively filming, promising to delve deeper into the twisted world established by Freida McFadden's bestselling novel.

Sydney Sweeney returns as Millie, the titular housemaid whose past is as complex as the secrets she uncovers. Michele Morrone also reprises his role as Enzo, the Winchester family's former gardener, whose character is slated for a significantly expanded presence in this new installment. The first production images, shared by Entertainment Tonight, show Sweeney and Morrone in character, giving fans a tantalizing peek at what's to come.

The sequel introduces a host of new faces to Millie's world. Veteran actress Kirsten Dunst joins the cast as Wendy Garrick, Millie's new employer in New York City. Paul Anthony Kelly steps in as Wendy's husband, Douglas Garrick, while Brittany Snow is set to play Marybeth, Douglas's secretary. Stephen Kalyn rounds out the new additions as Brock, Millie's lawyer boyfriend.

"Les Secrets de la femme de ménage" picks up months after the events of the first film, with Millie relocating to New York in search of a fresh start and stability. She finds employment with the seemingly affluent Garrick family, but as is often the case in Millie's life, appearances are deceiving. Behind the polished facade of their New York apartment, Millie soon discovers that her new employers harbor their own unsettling secrets, drawing her into another web of intrigue and danger.

Paul Feig, who directed the original, returns to co-write the screenplay for the sequel alongside Rebecca Sonnenshine. The filmmaking duo aims to build upon the suspense and psychological thrills that made the first film a global phenomenon.

Currently in production, "The Housemaid's Secrets" is slated for a French theatrical release on December 15, 2027, two years after the original film's release.
