For six decades, Star Trek has captivated audiences, evolving into one of science fiction's most enduring and influential sagas. Among these, few figures loom as large as Leonard Nimoy's Spock, whose struggle between human emotion and Vulcan logic, alongside his iconic salute, cemented his place as a global sci-fi legend.

To mark this momentous 60th anniversary, the franchise is bringing Spock back into the spotlight with the upcoming Rediscovered update for Star Trek Online, launching on PC on September 22, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles on November 10.

This massive update features a special "Spock through the Ages" arc, designed to highlight the character's diverse roles across the franchise's history. Headlining this arc is the introduction of Piotr Michael, who will portray Captain Spock in a brand-new appearance. Michael is no stranger to the character, having previously lent his voice to the older Ambassador Spock in Star Trek: Resurgence, where he skillfully emulated Leonard Nimoy's distinct style. His voice work also extends to Star Trek: Discovery, where he voiced Starfleet computer systems, and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy as President Sadal's voice chip.

Adding further depth to the celebration, Ethan Peck will reprise his role as Lieutenant Spock, a character he famously portrayed in Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. In a treat for longtime fans, the update will also reintroduce "original archival dialogue from Leonard Nimoy as Commander Spock," seamlessly weaving his iconic performance back into the game experience.

Beyond the Spock-centric content, the Rediscovered update will continue the remaster of The Ultimate Klingon storyline, a fan-favorite within Star Trek Online. It also brings back Lisa LoCicero as Lieutenant Miral Paris and Jon St. John as B'vat. Furthermore, the update introduces a new five-player Space TFO (Task Force Operation) titled 'Know Thy Enemy' and the official Rediscovered Event. All in all, Star Trek Online: Rediscovered promises a wealth of new content and nostalgic nods, making it an ideal way to commemorate the franchise's six-decade journey.
