Synopsis: Oregon, 1933. After the death of his wife, Samuel Murphy is separated from his daughter and sent to a ruthless labor camp. When an unscrupulous supervisor promises him freedom in exchange for a perilous gold smuggling mission, Murphy seizes his only chance to return home.

Did You Know? The project was a long time in the making for director Padraic McKinley. Desiring to pay homage to raw 1970s adventure cinema, he drew inspiration from visceral classics such as Sorcerer, Deliverance, and Jeremiah Johnson. He states: "That kind of courage. That kind of sweat. That kind of poetry. I hope that with the film, we have made our small contribution to the lineage of Friedkin, Boorman, Pollack, and Weir."

Synopsis: When Gil meets Jacques, their love is evident. But the initial intensity gives way to a relationship where she feels increasingly trapped, to the point of losing her bearings...

Did You Know? After comedies like Tout ce qui brille, Nous York, and J’irai où tu iras, Géraldine Nakache tackles a new genre with Si tu penses bien, focusing on domestic violence: "I wanted to highlight the silent, hidden, and unspoken violence within a couple, which manifests in the intimate sphere, daily. This insidious violence operating in the shadows of domestic spaces represents a blind spot, a very real societal issue, but one that is rarely depicted."

L'Invitation

Director: Olivia Wilde Starring: Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, Penélope Cruz

Synopsis: Angela and Joe invite their mysterious new upstairs neighbors to dinner. The evening quickly shatters all their certainties.

Did You Know? L'Invitation is the American adaptation of Sentimental (2021), a successful Spanish film directed by Cesc Gay, itself adapted from his own play Los Vecinos de Arriba (2016). While the original work had already been adapted in France, Italy, and Korea, screenwriters Will McCormack and Rashida Jones were particularly keen to transpose this contained narrative through the prism of American culture.

Resident Evil

Synopsis: Bryan, a medical courier, embarks on a frantic race for survival as the world around him descends into total chaos.

Did You Know? Austin Abrams had previously worked with Zach Cregger in Evanouis, where he played a young drug addict confronted by Gladys's witchcraft.

Did You Know? Léa Mysius discovered Laurent Mauvignier's eponymous novel through a series of coincidences. While a friend recommended the book she had just bought, her producer Jean-Louis Livi offered to acquire the rights during a lunch, unaware that she had just started reading it. The director devoured the 600-page novel in just two days before immediately agreeing to adapt it for the big screen.

Sham

Maoussi

Director: Charlotte Schiøler Starring: Moustapha Mbengue, Charlotte Schiøler, Elsa Wolliaston

Synopsis: When, by chance, Babette is led to share her Parisian apartment with Edo, a Congolese refugee, Maoussi, a fleeing mouse, also shows up and disrupts their daily lives. She insinuates herself between the two strangers like an adopted child and forces them to confront their divergent expectations of love.

Did You Know? Several familiar actors and actresses make short appearances in Maoussi: we recognize Olivier Rabourdin as the veterinarian, Paul Hamy and Idir Chender as policemen, Anne Suarez as the lawyer, and Alain Figlarz (whose partner, Michelle Figlarz, had worked with Charlotte Schiøler in Niqab Ni Soumise before directing her in her short film Absinthe) as the taxi driver.
