TF1 is preparing a compelling new drama, "Il ne se passe jamais rien ici," a six-part mini-series based on Olivier Adam's popular novel of the same name. Nolwenn Leroy, known for her successful music career and recent acting roles in "Brocéliande" and "L’été 36," will take on the central character.
The series unfolds in a seemingly tranquil village nestled on the shores of Lake Annecy. As the tourist season winds down, the local community anticipates a return to its usual quiet rhythm, only for their peace to be shattered by the discovery of a woman's body on the beach. In a place where everyone knows everyone and, as the title suggests, "nothing ever happens," this brutal murder sends shockwaves through the close-knit community.
Initially, an obvious culprit emerges, but the investigation quickly reveals a more intricate web of motives and secrets. Nolwenn Leroy's character, Claire, finds herself compelled to confront her own past in her quest to uncover the truth and forge a path towards her own emancipation. A detective, forced to return to a region he long ago fled, leads the inquiry, grappling with the hostility of some residents.
Adding an international flavor to the cast, Jaicy Elliot, recognized by audiences worldwide for her role as Taryn Helm in the long-running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" since 2017, will also appear in the series. Télé-Loisirs was the first to report Elliot's involvement. The Franco-American actress, who was born in Grenoble and studied dramatic arts at Cours Florent in Paris, brings a unique background to the production. While her role is not expected to be a major one, her presence is anticipated to create intriguing on-screen dynamics with Nolwenn Leroy.
The ensemble cast further includes Salim Kechiouche as Pedretti, Marc Riso as Brehal, Lila Poulet-Berenfeld as Margaux Tellier, Pierre-Yves Bon as Antoine Tellier, Nicolas Gob as Benoit Tellier, Eden Ducourant as Fanny, François-David Cardonnel as Yann, Lionnel Astier as Alain Tellier, and Luce Mouchel as Elise Tellier.
Filming for "Il ne se passe jamais rien ici" commenced on August 24th in Annecy and its surrounding region, promising stunning backdrops for the unfolding mystery. Viewers can expect the mini-series to premiere on TF1, with a broadcast likely scheduled for 2027.
