Rising French star Pierre Lottin is set to lead the cast of Le Vote, a new political comedy that promises a sharp look at societal divisions ahead of the 2027 French presidential election. Joining Lottin are talents Bertrand Usclat and Zoé Marchal, rounding out a compelling ensemble for this keenly anticipated project.

Reported first by Le Film Français, Le Vote marks the feature film directorial debut for Marine Arlen and Reynold de Guenyveau. The story unfolds during a tense weekend in the countryside, just a week before the first round of a presidential election. Protagonist Alex, played by Lottin, gathers with his longtime friends. As the group reveals their voting intentions, Alex is the only one who keeps his choice a secret. What begins as amusement quickly spirals into an obsession for the thirty-somethings, as they speculate on Alex's undisclosed vote. The intensifying debates gradually unearth more intimate tensions, forcing friends and newcomers alike to confront their deeply held beliefs, contradictions, and vulnerabilities.

In addition to Lottin, Usclat, and Marchal, the film's cast includes Joseph Olivennes, Melissa Izquierdo, Antonia Buresi, Brahim Bouhlel, Nelligan, and Magali Lange. The production, spearheaded by Tandem and Séquences Clés Production, commenced filming on October 5th in the picturesque region of Brittany.

Le Vote is scheduled to hit theaters in March 2027, a deliberate timing that places its release just one month before the actual presidential election. This strategic placement is expected to amplify the film's relevance and spark public conversation surrounding its themes.

Pierre Lottin, a César winner for Best Supporting Actor for his role in L'étranger, has been on a remarkable trajectory. His upcoming slate is packed, with appearances expected in Radu Mihaileanu's Tu me diras, the Delépine-Kervern duo's Go-slow, Jean-Luc Gaget's Le Petit Boucher, and a highly anticipated biopic dedicated to the legendary Louis de Funès. His lead role in Le Vote further solidifies his standing as one of French cinema's most versatile and in-demand actors.
