First Look: Hayley Atwell, David Oyelowo, and Tom Sweet Set Sail in MGM+ and Paramount+ Pirate Series 'Treasure Island'

The series is set to premiere on MGM+ in the U.S. on October 11, with new episodes releasing weekly through November 15. For audiences in the UK and Ireland, Paramount+ will launch the show on October 12, with weekly drops concluding on November 16. Fifth Season holds the international distribution rights for other territories.

This reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's beloved story follows a young Jim Hawkins and his fiercely resolute mother, Bess, as they stumble upon Captain Flint’s legendary treasure map. Their discovery quickly plunges them into a perilous race for unimaginable riches.

Beyond its core trio, the series also features a talented ensemble including Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) as Aaron Graham, Tomer Capone (The Boys) as Billy Bones, Craige Els (Andor) as Mr. Arrow, Tristan Sturrock (Poldark) as Captain Smollett, and Neil Pendleton (Outlander) as Mr. Cameron.

Treasure Island is a Paramount+ original series, produced in association with MGM+ and Fifth Season, with Playground Entertainment attached as the production company. Robert Murphy (Vera, Shetland) serves as the series creator, with Jeremy Lovering, William McGregor, and Paul Walker directing. Mark Hedges is credited as the producer.

Commissioning the series were Paramount+'s Sebastian Cardwell, the outgoing Deputy Chief Content Officer for the UK, and Paul Testar, Commissioning Editor for Paramount+ UK & Ireland. Overseeing production for MGM+ are Michael Wright, the global head, and Alec Strum, original programming executive. Executive producers include David Stern, Scott Huff, and Colin Callender on behalf of Playground, alongside Daniel Gratton, Robert Murphy, and Jeremy Lovering.
