Cyril Hanouna, a dominant figure in French television with his long-running and popular talk shows, has been steadily expanding his influence into the cinematic landscape. Through his production company, Darka Movies, Hanouna has backed several successful features, including the commercially triumphant 'Les Segpa' saga, which garnered over 730,000 and 1.37 million admissions for its two installments respectively.
Now, according to a report from L'Informé, Hanouna is preparing to bring a particularly heartwarming real-life tale to the big screen: the story of Noa Rabinovici. Born in 2004, Noa R. fell into a deep coma at the age of four due to multiple brain tumors. In a desperate attempt to soothe the atmosphere in her hospital room, Noa's father played music by his favorite artist, Enrico Macias.
It was during the playing of Macias's song "Tous les soleils de l’amitié" that a miracle unfolded. As reported by La Presse, "While 'Tous les soleils de l’amitié' played, with Macias singing, 'Wake up, life is beautiful, even if your heart has troubles...', the little girl awoke."
Years later, Noa's father reached out to Enrico Macias to share the incredible story. Deeply moved, the iconic singer became Noa's musical godfather. Macias reportedly reflected on the experience, stating, "I told myself that if my song had, in a way, allowed her to find life again, I could certainly help her with her career if she wished." Their bond led to a duet, "Enfants des étoiles," released in 2022, and Noa R. has since opened for Macias at his concerts.
The screen adaptation of this inspiring story will be penned by Élodie Hesme and Eve-Sophie Santerre. Directorial duties are expected to go to Claude Zidi Jr., whose previous works include 'Les Déguns' (2018) and 'Ténor' (2022). Hanouna has a history of collaboration with Zidi Jr., having co-produced both of these films.
Speaking to L'Informé, Cyril Hanouna confirmed the project's active status, stating, "The project is more relevant than ever." This latest venture underscores Hanouna's commitment to diverse storytelling and his growing footprint in the French film industry.
