'The Mafia Nanny' has already garnered a massive global following, boasting over 420 million views, making it a prime candidate for a screen adaptation.

Max Gill is penning the television script for the series and will also serve as an executive producer. The narrative centers on Davina, an elite nanny specializing in high-net-worth families. Her professional mantra is clear: protect her charge, adhere to client directives, and maintain emotional detachment. However, her latest assignment, caring for young Mikey Angelini, introduces her to his formidable—and undeniably charming—father. This encounter threatens to pull Davina back into the dangerous world of organized crime she had diligently worked to escape.

This project is particularly noteworthy as it is believed to be the first English-language live-action series to be adapted from Webtoon intellectual property. While Webtoon and its sibling platform Wattpad (both owned by South Korean tech giant Naver) have seen immense success with adaptations in Korean and Japanese television—such as the upcoming Hulu premiere of the K-drama 'The Remarried Empress'—this marks a new frontier for their content in Western markets.

Charlize Theron, along with Beth Kono, AJ Dix, and Matt Maher, will executive produce for Secret Menu. David Madden and Sera Tabb are also on board as executive producers for Webtoon Productions, with Dawn Olmstead joining from Steady Collective. Secret Menu, known for film credits like 'Atomic Blonde' and 'The Old Guard' franchise, has a growing slate of television projects across major platforms.
