The announcement solidifies the leadership structure for Skydance DTC, a pivotal entity following the recent Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger. This new division is set to eventually merge the content offerings of HBO Max and Paramount+ into a unified platform, a process anticipated to take 1-2 years after an initial phase of separate-but-bundled services.

At the forefront of Bloys's team are several familiar names from his successful tenure at HBO. Francesca Orsi, previously EVP, HBO Programming, Head of HBO Drama Series and Films, has been promoted to President, HBO Drama Series and Films. In her expanded role, she will work directly with Bloys to determine which drama projects best align with the prestigious HBO brand.

Sarah Aubrey steps into the critical role of Head of Paramount+, Max Originals and International Programming. Her responsibilities will include overseeing all programming for Paramount+ and collaborating closely with Bloys and Skydance leadership on its integration and alignment with HBO Max. She will also continue to manage Max Originals and international programming for the streaming platforms.

Other key executives maintaining and expanding their influence include Amy Gravitt, who continues as EVP, HBO Programming, Head of HBO & HBO Max Comedy Series, and Nina Rosenstein, EVP, HBO Late Night & Specials Programming. Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller will remain Co-EVPs, HBO Documentary Programming, continuing to lead the acclaimed documentary slate.

The operational and communications aspects will also see familiar faces taking on broader mandates. Glenn Whitehead has been named President & COO, HBO and Paramount+, overseeing business affairs, production, and operations across both streaming platforms. Jeff Cusson assumes the role of EVP and Head of Communications, Skydance DTC, responsible for global communications strategy, publicity, and talent relations for the combined streaming efforts.

Bloys outlined his strategic thinking in an internal memo, emphasizing the proven track record of his chosen team. He stated, "These leaders and their teams have a long history of delivering consistently on the main metrics of viewership, awards and critical response. No doubt they will continue to do so across Skydance DTC."

The memo also acknowledged the departure of Jane Wiseman, former EVP and Head of Originals for Paramount+, thanking her for her "amazing work" and impressive development slate. Her team will now report to Aubrey, facilitating the transition.

This leadership structure underscores Skydance's commitment to leveraging the established creative excellence of HBO while strategically integrating Paramount+ content. With a blend of proven talent and expanded responsibilities, Bloys aims to maintain momentum for both platforms as they move towards their eventual consolidation, promising a robust and diverse content offering for subscribers.
